OK, so I always knew that exercise is good for you. I mean, who doesn't? But I guess what I didn't know is that I could find something that I enjoy and that is challenging and that I could do with my husband. Bike riding has been amazing for me. As of today, after my 45 mile bike ride, I've lost 13 pounds this summer. Since I've started riding a lot. I couldn't believe it when I got on the scale today. Especially since it isn't really that difficult. Bike riding is easy! It is so much easier than running, although I've never been much of a runner, so maybe that's why I think it is hard. And you can go so far on a bike! Today, Matt and I decided to ride at least 43 miles. We wanted to try out some of the bike lanes and trails they have in Virgina Beach. Unfortunately, these lanes and trails aren't actually connected, but we managed. We ended up going really close to the mall, and stopped in to watch Dark Knight, which is an excellent movie, by the way. So we took just a couple hours to do 22.5 miles, and just a couple to ride back. Now, I won't say that the ride today was easy. And the 2.5 hour break for the movie was just a little too long. My muscles were stiff by the time we started back out again. But even though I didn't feel great, I was able to push through it and I made it back home. Now all I want to do is curl up in my pj's and watch some tv. Or maybe play some scramble. Either way, I'm going to relax. I deserve it.
Oh, by the way, I have received blood types from the following: Beth, Peggy, Marie (?), Kate, Penny. So I still need Mike's, Matt's, Lani's, and Jill's. If you don't want the whole world to know (although I don't see why not *shrug*), just email me. That's cool too.
